Abralow Memorial Multipurpose Society
Abralow Memorial Multipurpose Society is a Non-Governmental Organization, working in the field of education, health, environment, and documentation & preservation of rich cultural heritage of indigenous people of Arunachal Pradesh. The society is registered under Societies Registration Act-1860 and has been granted certificate of exemption under 80G (5) (vi) of the Income Tax Act, 1961.The society was formed on 25th October 2000 with head office at Hunli and later officially registered on 3rd February 2004 vide No. SR/ITA/2247 with its head office at Roing, Lower Dibang Valley District, Arunachal Pradesh, Abralow Memorial Multipurpose Society, with its dedicated work has carved out a niche as a leading NGO of Arunachal Pradesh. It works with twin ideals ‘Man Making and Nation Building’.
The AMMS is mainly engaged in the following fields:
- Promoting free education for Girl child in rural mountain villages.
- Imparting Teachers’ Training Education.
- Promoting Higher education and providing Educational Extension service Center in rural areas.
- Consumer Awareness Programs by way of printing & distribution of consumer awareness materials and organize meeting/seminars.
- Taking various Health awareness campaigns to the community’s doorsteps.
- Natural Resource Development such as advocating for wild life and medicinal plants.
- Networking with local women Self Help Groups for development of Entrepreneurship and other Micro-enterprises.
- Tapping the Rural talents from the rural mass.
